Paulina Miranda Valenzuela is the principal partner of the firm. Her practice also includes commercial and corporate law. She is expert in labor and employment law, social security and immigration, focusing on assisting national and multinational companies with their employment matters, providing strategic advice and counseling to multinational employers on a wide range of global employment law and human resources matters. She assists employers with global employment issues and has significant experience in employment matters in M&A (including local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions).

With wide experience in employment-related due diligences and internal employment audits, she advises companies when they are expanding or downsizing. She specializes in multiple areas of employment law, including hiring and termination of employees (massive lay-offs, office closures and senior executive severance), unfair dismissal, HR company policies (discrimination prevention, privacy and fundamental rights, internal investigations of harassment and others), restrictive covenants, subcontracting and outsourcing, labor taxes and compensation packages (including retention and stock option plans), collective bargaining processes, relations with unions and labor litigation. In immigration law, she is specially focused in hiring of expatriates, social security and tax advice for foreign executives.

Paulina Miranda was in Carey, the largest law firm in Chile, for more than 16 years. There she leaded the formation of the Labor and Immigration group, becoming its Director and co-head for seven years.
